Thank you for your continued support over the years. As CA’s longest standing Social Equity Brand we have seen many recalls across the industry over the years, although we have never had a recall.
At Crème De Canna, we take great pride in producing the highest-quality cannabis products and are committed to maintaining the trust and safety of our customers. As part of this commitment, we are conducting a voluntary recall of a specific batch of our Terpys OG Kush flower product after it was identified that the batch may be contaminated with a microbial contaminant, Aspergillus.
This recall is being undertaken in coordination with the California Department of Cannabis Control to ensure customer safety and regulatory compliance.
What you need to know:
Aspergillus Niger which is a common microbiological compound found on nearly every plant (not just cannabis) and is part of the natural decomposition of all living things. While the safety of our customers is always our top priority, it is important to note that Aspergillus testing has been controversial. For instance, the Oregon Court of Appeals recently halted the state’s Aspergillus testing rules following a legal challenge by the cannabis industry. State regulators argue that inhaling Aspergillus can be dangerous for individuals who are immunocompromised. However, the Oregon Health Authority has acknowledged that there is no proof that cannabis containing Aspergillus has sickened any consumers,.
All of our products are tested at least 3 times prior to shipping. Once upon receiving the flower (pre-formulation), once after the formulation has been completed, and then the final COA upon certifying the batch. We rely on DCC certified and licensed Lab to certify our products. We have seen recent scrutiny on many labs throughout the state, including 2 Rivers, who had certified this batch, and is now closed.

- Return any product from affected batch with a receipt to the store that you purchased it from
